Project Objective: Educate my friends and family about the benefits of a vegetarian/vegan diet, both personally and for the environment.
Volunteer to educate others outside my family circle about vegetarianism/veganism.
Project Activities or Steps: Sign up my friends and family for a free vegetarian starter kit at http://www.goveg.com/order.asp.
Follow up with them to see if they received the kit. Discuss with them the health benefits of a vegetarian/vegan lifestyle, buying organic/local, the ultimate benefits to the environment--e.g., reduction of global warming, pollution, etc.
Write a Letter to the Editor of local daily newspapers. By getting my message printed, and I can reach tens of thousands of people!
Hand Out Leaflets
I can reach hundreds of potential vegetarians by picking the right location.
Set Up an Information Table
This is a terrific way to get pro-vegan literature to as many people as possible!
Host a Vegan Dinner Party
Show people the choices they have.
