Green Leader: Elyssa Brecher

School: Gallaudet University

Project Objective: Changing all bulbs in the house to CFLs.

Project Activities or Steps: Get the appropriate wattage bulbs for each light in the house. Change all bulbs and make sure all members of the family are using CFLs. Encourage all friends to do the same by giving them each a box of two bulbs for their houses.

Project Resources: Home Depot, Ikea or any other store that sells CFLs.

Project Budget: $200 for all lights in the house and enough for five other families.

Time Required: One week

How This Affects Your Community: By giving the bulbs to others, they can begin to see the savings in their electric bills....and the word can spread.
